Global leader in agricultural products and solutions, is seeking a skilled professional for the position reporting to the General Manager. This role involves directing a team of Process Engineers and Senior Process Engineers to enhance the profitability through engineering and technical support for capital projects and production units. The ideal candidate will contribute to process optimization, safety improvement, and innovation while meeting budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

–Lead and oversee the Process Engineers, Senior Process Engineers, and technical staff to identify and implement solutions for process opportunities, focusing on productivity, reliability, environmental performance, and safety.

–Collaborate with Area Team members and the Area Operations Manager to achieve plant objectives in safety, environmental compliance, quality, reliability, production efficiency, cost reduction, and innovation.

–Conduct engineering and technical studies to troubleshoot plant issues, predict potential problems, and optimize operations in priority areas.

–Perform process reviews, Hazard and Operability Studies (Hazops), and “What If” analyses on current operations and proposed changes, following the plant Process Safety Management of Change (MOC) process.

–Monitor real-time and historical plant data to detect abnormalities and optimize operations.

–Track and report compressor, turbine, pump, exchanger efficiencies, pressure drop surveys, catalyst evaluations, and quality of raw materials.

–Contribute to Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and incident investigations, ensuring timely completion of assigned action items.

–Maintain and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P & IDs), Steam Balances, and Standard Operating Procedures.

–Provide accurate design input and review for projects, facilitating coordination with area personnel.

–Perform month-end prill inventory checks and reliability reports.

–Identify and implement opportunities for production, reliability, efficiency, and cost improvement.

–Research industry technology advancements, plant experiences, and innovative ideas.

–Ensure proper loading of vessels during catalyst, desiccant, packing, and gauze changes.

Experience:

–Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.

–Minimum of 5-10 years of engineering experience in the chemical process industry.

–Minimum of 6 years of experience in the ammonia or fertilizer industry.
