Join a global chemical leader in the Corporate SME for NA Utilities and Water Treatment Operations. Lead and execute a comprehensive monitoring and optimization program for water treatment and utilities across multiple facilities. Drive efficiency through data analysis, process improvement, and vendor collaboration. Engage with plant personnel to troubleshoot issues and enhance water treatment practices. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute real-time monitoring and optimization program for water treatment and utilities across 10 chemical plant sites.
  • Identify and recommend optimization opportunities for water treatment processes.
  • Engage with plant personnel on troubleshooting and trend identification.
  • Collaborate with water treatment vendors to ensure optimal water chemistry.
  • Develop and improve condition-based monitoring algorithms.
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide engineering and chemistry analysis.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize advanced monitoring algorithms.
  • Support turnaround inspection to ensure water treatment programs meet design specifications.
  • Identify areas of repeat failure and complete root cause failure analysis.
  • Manage data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to water treatment processes.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and trends in data monitoring and water treatment.

Experience:

  • BS Engineering, Chemistry, or related degree with 10+ years of water treatment experience in large chemical plant operations.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry related to various water treatment processes
  • Experience with root cause failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of safety, reliability, and efficiency concepts in large chemical plants.
  • Understanding of corrosion/scale-forming mechanisms and metallurgy.
