Our client is a world leader in Adhesives. The Reliability & Engineering Manager will lead and manage the maintenance team to continuously improve equipment reliability and productivity at the site, while reducing operating cost. The Reliability & Engineering Manager ensures the site operates to PSM regulations and exceeds all corporate and regulatory EHS requirements. The Reliability & Engineering Manager reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for Maintenance Supervisor, Facilities & EHS Specialist, two Process Engineers, and a Project/Reliability Engineer
— Manage the maintenance budget and oversee capital budgeting, planning, and spend execution
— Lead Maintenance team and engineering team to service multiple production units on site
— Provide direction to the engineering team: support of project development and implementation.
— Develop execute strategic improvement plan including plant infrastructure, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, security, instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.
— Implement maintenance-related PSM requirements per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, maintain full compliance, including maintenance and development of the site Mechanical Integrity program.
— Develop manage the Critical Spares program in alignment with the business needs of the site.
— Lead the maintenance department in safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and EPA
— Coach, train and develop team members to achieve desired performance.
— Continuously drive improvements in the operational efficiency and reliability by improvements in maintenance processes and equipment downtime and efficiency.
— Use lean tools, including OEE, to identify priorities.
— Develop and achieve maintenance team improvement goals and objectives in alignment with both Business and Plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
— Provide project management for cost / capital projects & initiatives, as required.
— Manage a small team of process engineers, ensuring targets and objectives are set for the team.
— Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity and Reliability methodologies, programs, managing systems, and best practices.
— Interpersonal Skills & Relationship Management working with co-workers and stakeholders.
— BS degree in engineering and Chemical or Adhesives background required
— Must have industrial experience in a PSM certified plant with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 including the maintenance and development of a site Mechanical Integrity program
— Ability to analyze mechanical failure data and implement revise equipment reliability plans and preventative maintenance program to improve Safety, (OEE), and life cycle costs
— Prioritize maintenance activities with the needs of Manufacturing and Planning departments.
— Coordinate 3rd party onsite maintenance activities
— Comfortable in a fast paced, high pressure environment
