Main Responsibilities:

 

The purpose of the position is to define, analyze, evaluate and challenge investment projects in planning and execution phases with regard to scope, cost and timeline targets, as well as to define controlling measure to identify potential deviations and propose suitable mitigation strategies.

 

As a Project Controller you will:

 

— control capital investments and projects in Americas and simultaneously support the project owners organization defining and refining the engineering and execution workflow

— support the project owners organizations in their work relation to contractors, vendors and providers especially in case of claim and change order management,  in the area of costs, scope, timeline and quality, with identification and notification of deviations from targets and surveillance of initiated countermeasures to meet the project interests and targets

— Have responsibility for a reliable and quality based cost controlling, scheduling and reporting of all dedicated projects in close collaboration and alignment with project and engineering managers, all discipline leads and BU business controller

— Proactively foster the project organizations (manager, leads) in case of regular reviews and evaluations of projects in all stages of planning and execution

— Implement and refine company global project controlling standards which include trackable adequate Key Performance Indicators and standardized project reports

— Initiate and oversee improvement processes and especially ensuring up-to-date and professional cost engineering and controlling and scheduling expertise is implemented in all allocated project teams

— Have responsibility for generating of project cost estimations; challenging and auditing cost estimation during Front End Loading reviews of projects as part of a quality assurance process to evaluate the maturity of a project and to generate a transparent, well-grounded and objective key decision basis for the stakeholders of BUs, Steering and Investment Committees how to proceed with the project

 

Qualifications

 

— Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering preferred; alternate Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting with well-founded experience in a technical environment will be considered
