Join an expanding global industry leader to participate on the Site Manufacturing Excellence Team. Requires strong technical background in Process Improvements, Product Development/ Quality/ Validation, and Production support providing process generated data utilizing LEAN, 5S, and Six Sigma. Ideal technical experience in Fibers, Resins, Plastics, or Composites Industry.
— Provide technical support for new product/ process introductions and continuous improvement for process/ production expansions.
— Assist in developing operating goals in support of divisional, unit, and corporate objectives. Develop plans to reduce COGS by continuously improving efficiencies, processing times, reducing labor and material costs, reducing maintenance costs and controlling expense budgets.
— Lead facilities, procedural and process improvements to maintain and improve production quality, safety, cost and efficiency.
— Execute qualification and validation runs according PMP process and internal MOC procedures including reporting and analyses in Minitab.
— Conduct trials as required to insure continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and to develop or validate new products at the site.
— Monitor and analyze daily production and data generated by the test lab and identify trends. Recognize potential production problems, investigate and recommend solutions to correct them. Report variances as required. Generate production run evaluation reports and identify deviations from normal.
— Participate in quality investigations (RCA) interfacing with Engineering, Quality and Production. Track progress and ensure appropriate actions are taken to correct deficiencies.
— Prepare, review and approve production records including operating procedures, recipes, JSA’s, and change requests as required.
— Interact with Technicians on a regular basis to ensure effective communication of production and compliance related changes in procedures. Conduct formalized training for operative personnel as necessary
— Investigate and prepare reports related to production problems, customer complaints/inquiries, material reconciliation, process deviations, efficiency, and schedule variances.
— Comply with all job-related safety and other training requirements.
— BS Chemical Engineering degree with 5+ years as Process / Development Engineer working in Fibers, Resins, Plastics, Composites Industry.
— Demonstrated technical process support, advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
— Requires solid skills in Six Sigma, 5S and Lean management.
— Must be willing to respond to production emergencies and spend after hours in monitoring scheduled work when required.
— Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
