As Plant Engineer for a new, manufacturing startup facility, you will be responsible for the engineering, maintenance and upkeep of all plant equipment. Managing administrative requirements, planning and scheduling, technical documents for the plant, and capital projects will also be included in this role.
— Manage the maintenance programs and capital and expense budgets for the department and entire facility.
— Implement and champion the Predictive Maintenance/Reliability program at the plant, working closely with the Engineers to prioritize needs and plan and maintain training.
— Direct reports include the maintenance and electrical employees.
— Participates in discussions with other technical persons internal and external where plant equipment and process are under review.
— Supports plant special requirements and performance of equipment in events that are not meeting expectations.
— Implement and manage the CMMS Planning and PM functions and maintains the technical library for plant maintenance requirements.
— Provides direction and leadership so that Maintenance Department personnel are developed and trained in the most efficient, productive and safe manner.
— Oversee plant process automation systems
— B.S in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 6+ years experience in Maintenance/ Facility Engineering in pulp & paper, chemical, building materials, or related manufacturing plants.
— Must have experience in Six Sigma, ISO 9002, Statistics, or SPC methodology for problem solving and Lean Manufacturing.
— Familiar with plant automation systems, PLC programming and HMIs
— Demonstrated education in drafting and CAD skills
— Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future
