Our client is looking for an Electrical Reliability Engineer to provide day-to-day technical expertise and reliability support for the power distribution and major electrical equipment. Candidate will join an integrated team of process chemical, mechanical, and other Engineers. Responsibilities include solution of electrical reliability problems, identify and implement electrical equipment improvements, and lead teams and/or projects for longer-term improvements and utility cost-savings initiatives.

Responsibilities:

–Provide electrical engineering expertise for the major electrical equipment at the site.

–Troubleshoot major electrical issues & provide technical support to the operations & maintenance teams as required.

–Lead or participate on teams to upgrade electrical equipment ranging from incremental improvements to major technology changes.

–Execute the change management processes for improvements in equipment and control (Process change requests, Change of design, etc.).

–Ensure / support that adequate process related equipment maintenance systems and programs are in place and that such programs are operated in a safe and efficient manner and meet or exceed all regulatory requirements

–Lead or take part in cross-functional teams, e.g. Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma Teams, Investigations, or Equipment Improvement Teams.

–Develop and manage reliability program for electrical equipment, including specific work procedures, preventative and predictive maintenance programs

–Support, develop and implement strategies for improving instrumentation and process monitoring equipment reliability.

–Analyze and drive utility usage & cost savings programs.

Education and Experience:

–BS Electrical Engineering with 8+ years experience in Electrical/ Power Distribution Maintenance/ Reliability in chemical, refinery, or pulp & paper industries

–Experience in maintenance, engineering, reliability, and controls systems.

–Familiar with NEC and IEEE standards as well as the Electrical Reliability portion of PSM compliance
