Our chemical client is hiring a lead E&I Maintenance Technician. Requires significant experience with the systems interface and maintenance of controls systems, motor controls, electrical circuits, transmitters and related instruments to avoid equipment downtime. Day shift with excellent compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

–Diagnose equipment failures and recommend alternatives to minimize repair costs and equipment downtime.
Responsible for evaluating, improving and maintaining all instrumentation; transmitters, control systems, controllers, electrical circuits, motor controls and probe calibrations.
–Provide accurate, detailed, and documented turnovers of equipment to operations and others within the department.
–Participate in or lead departmental audits, housekeeping inspections, and other specialty SHE audits as appropriate.
–Support routine Quality talks/briefings with staff to raise Quality awareness.
–Comply with all safe work practices.
–Utilize CMMS (SAP) to obtain relevant work orders, equipment, and spare parts information.

Qualifications:

–Associates degree or prior experience with 5+ years as Electrical and Instrumentation Tech in chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, food, or related process industry.
–Maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and chemical processes/ equipment in industrial plants is required
–Requires knowledge of DCS, motor controls, circuit boards, processors, transmitters, and computer hardware and software
–Familiar with CMMS/ SAP system reporting
–Ability to work now or in the future without sponsorship.
