You will complete improvement and expansions projects with a focus on process systems and equipment. Eventually your will become the on-site process equipment expert and engineering resource for the operations and maintenance teams. Your projects will improve process efficiency and increase plant capacity.
— Complete small simple projects to improve process efficiency and reduce quality deficiencies that lead to re-work.
— Complete larger capital projects for the installation of additional process equipment and systems in new or renovated manufacturing spaces.
— Monitor the functioning of existing equipment and identify opportunities for improvement and initiate projects.
— Troubleshoot processes and equipment, in collaboration with maintenance and production teams
— Correct problems and reduce the risk of recurrence. This will include interacting with original equipment manufacturers to provide optimized corrective action plans.
— Oversee the in-house calibration program for all process instrumentation.
— Assist the Sr. Maintenance Mechanic and Facilities Engineer with implementing improvements to the maintenance programs.
— Assist the QA Department with GMP compliance.
REQUESTED APPLICANT BACKGROUND:
We are searching for a Project Engineer/ Project Manager who has worked as a direct employee in a manufacturing plant and has therefore been responsible for the operability and ongoing improvement of completed installations.
— B.S. in Engineering. Best if Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
— 5 to 30 of experience as a direct employee in a chemical manufacturing plant or related processing facility (such as additives production plants, flavors & fragrances, plastic processing, API pharma, paints & coatings manufacturing, OTC product mixing and blending, and others.)
— Has completed capital projects from scope development, to detailed engineering, to construction management, & start-up support, to ongoing systems operability support.
— Skilled in process and equipment troubleshooting and has a basic understanding of preventative maintenance.
— Functions well in a team-oriented environment.
— Authorized to work for any employer in the USA without current or future restrictions (no sponsorship available).
