The Integrated Supply Chain organization is in the process of revamping the entire value stream, and implementing significant process improvements across the Integrated Supply Chain, including processes with operations, customers and suppliers. We are looking for someone that can drive safety, quality, logistics and continuous improvement in an effective and cohesive way to ensure high impact.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the day to day operations and will ensure best practices on site meet business needs with regards to safety, environment, health of employees, production cost, product quality, reliability of the plant, capability development of employees, and continuous improvement of management systems. The selected candidate will be expected to drive continuous improvement based on Lean Manufacturing principles and methodology.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
— This role is responsible for the daily oversight of HSSE, production, quality, operations, maintenance, finance and improvement for the entire plant including compliance requirements of government regulatory agencies
— Performs engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, and/or process studies
— Proficient in site distributed control system and computer networking, including control design / troubleshooting and business desktop applications
— Responsible for Installations of new equipment and operator training
— Analyzes existing processes and procedures and makes recommendations regarding improvements
— Ensures processes operate at optimal levels with regards to quality, conversion and output.
— Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures related to safety, processes and efficiency
— Leading or collaborate on LEAN Manufacturing project teams to drive continuous improvement working on areas such as yield, uptime, fixed and variable cost reductions, and working capital reductions
— Supervises production processes ensuring safety and efficiency requirements comply with company standards as well as RC14001 and ISO 9001 standards
— Analyzes existing processes and procedures and makes recommendations regarding improvements to the system
— Responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures related to safety, processes and efficiency
— Observe, measure, collect and analyze process data to conduct root cause analysis studies and recommend appropriate process changes
— Provides training and development of staff
— Focuses on managerial aspects of engineering projects such as cost, completion date and resource allocation as well as reviews technical concepts
— Responsible for planning, devising or adapting methods to improve manufacturing production
— May be involved with solving particularly difficult technical problems
— Identifies and recommends cost savings methods and processes
— Processes documents, conducts inspections and manages the maintenance of engineering records
— Develops plant capital and operating budgets.
Experience and Education:
— Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable degree required.
— 5+ years of relevant work experience in a chemical plant or similar manufacturing environment and demonstrated proficiency in Chemical Engineering.
— 2+ years in direct supervision/leadership role— Strong MS Office (SAP skills a plus)
— Knowledge and experience in process control, lean manufacturing techniques, and continuous improvement
— Basic knowledge of packaging and transportation of hazardous materials
