Career opportunity to join a global chemical manufacturer as a part of the plant management team. This role provides day-to-day leadership and technical guidance for the operations/ production team in this state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
— Provide day to day plant operations leadership for production staff and Team Leaders.
— Implement continuous improvements and problem solving projects involving safety, productivity, quality and cost.
— Maintain compliance with all federal and state safety/environmental laws and regulations.
— Lead pre-start-up safety reviews.
— Provide troubleshooting and problem solving of process issues.
— Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and corrective actions in the operations.
— Support scheduling and production staffing including overtime.
— Coordinate equipment servicing and on-going maintenance scheduling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
— BS Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years experience in chemical production/ operations leadership in a PSM chemical plant.
— Extensive background managing shift / operation teams in a chemical plant.
— Experience with requirements and use of PSM (OSHA 1910.119), RCA, Lean, Six Sigma
— Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
