Excellent opportunity for Sr. Chemist to support Laboratory Technicians and the LIMS team. Provide technical expertise for commissioning and support of new laboratory analytical systems and instruments (ICP-OES, GC, XRF, N-TOC, IEC, Colorimetry, and Density Meters), promoting the accuracy of analytical data, optimum productivity.

Responsibilities:

— Lead the design, development and update of the Laboratory Information Management Systems including review and update of analytical methods, instrumentation, and procedures.

— Perform diverse analytical and instrument testing utilizing approved methodologies for routine and non-routine samples.

— Create, evaluate and implement new analytical procedures.

— Evaluate and recommend new analytical equipment purchases and provide setup, method development and implementation of new equipment.

— Assist in designing, programming, testing, debugging, implementing, and maintaining the LIMS software.

— Laboratory Data Management includes maintenance of samples and related sample information (sample templates, product specifications, tst schedules, analyses and calculations).

— Generate Certificate of Analysis (COA)

Qualifications:

— Bachelors Degree in Chemistry with 5+ years analytical chemistry experience including wet chemistry, LIMS, statistical quality control methods, and maintenance of analytical instruments. Must have understanding of inorganic chemistry and industrial chemical production.

— Must have experience with ICP, GC, IC, Combustion Analyzers, Colorimetry, TOC, XRF, Density Meters.

— Solid knowledge of LIMS, including designing, SQL programming and maintaining software.

— RCAs and corrective action of laboratory issues / instrumentation.

— US Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) is required.
