Join the global chemical team as the SME for Process/ Front End Design for NA and International capital projects.  Provide technical expertise to a team of engineers in execution of chemical process design for small and large projects. Lead engineers working on Engineering regional-scale projects or engineers working at local-level Manufacturing capital or retrofit projects.
 
Responsibilities:
— Provide process engineering support to variety of small to large capital projects and plant sustaining activities
— Develop Process Flow Diagrams and Heat & Material Balances
— Develop new and redline existing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and Interlock Narratives
— Facilitate and/or support improvement projects, maintenance projects and aid in process troubleshooting
— Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting process, instrumentation and controls, and equipment problems
— Lead and work with mechanical/instrumentation engineers to investigate and develop new equipment and technologies to improve chemical production and control processes
— Author, maintain and update engineering and equipment standards & assist with training when applicable
— Support cost estimates of CapEx and Opex
— Participate in the evaluation and selection of process equipment, external engineering firms and vendors
— Work on cost reduction projects and collaborate with procurement to ensure good supply assurance (reliable flow of raw material supply through the production cycle)
— Support plant manufacturing operations as needed by providing technical expertise
— Lead/support Process Hazard Analysis for new and existing processes
— Interact with R&D, manufacturing organization and production plants to scale-up and/or develop new processes
— Develop and implement quality, safety, and process improvements
 
Qualifications:

— BS (MS preferred) in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years experience as Process/ Design Engineering in chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or related with processes including reactors, burners, combustion, cooling systems, heat exchangers, air emission controls, and thermodynamics. 
— Strong experience in capital 6-phase development process and in project execution and project management fundamentals.
— Solid knowledge of chemistry, chemical process design, process control and instrumentation, and/or chemical equipment
— Excellent computer skills; Aspen Plus knowledge preferred
— Professional engineering license (or foreign equivalent) is desired.
— Travel 30-40%
— Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
 

 

Salary: $120,000.00 – $155,000.00
