Excellent opportunity to join a global chemical leader, as the Corporate Compensation/ Benefits Manager.  As a member of the North American (NA) Team, you will provide strategic support to the HR Business Partners and Business Leaders for multiple sites as well as contribute to the design/development/implementation of specific compensation, sales incentive plans and benefits solutions, programs, policies and processes to support current and future business strategy.
 
Responsibilities:
 
— Provide expert advice and counseling to Business Leaders, HR Business Partners and HR Operations to adapt global and regional reward programs and to ensure consistent and equitable implementation of programs. 
— Provide internal consulting on complex reward issues including setting up appropriate pay levels according to global, regional and local policies and procedures.
— Identify, select and participate in comp and benefit surveys for the region to analyze the company’s competitive market position globally.
— Conduct job matching to external surveys using market data and internal evaluation.
— Monitor external markets to identify trends and best practices.  Work with local Procurement Teams to negotiate local contracts/deals to ensure the efficient use of external market data and benefit providers.
— Perform ad hoc analysis for costing, program effectiveness and trend purposes.
— Work closely with HR Operations to ensure policies and plans are supported by continuous improvement.
— Maintains a balance between Global Center of Excellence principles, priorities and standards, and regional constraints, imperatives, and opportunities.
— Effectively communicate, build relationships and influence across HR, business leaders and line managers
 
Qualifications:
 
— BS Human Resources Degree or related, with 10+ years of relevant compensation and benefits experience,  5+ years focus on compensation including design and delivery of base pay, Sales Incentive Compensation plan design and variable compensation; and 5+ years focus on Health & Welfare benefits. 
— Experience with analyzing compensation & benefit plans; developing and implementing plan design changes
— Retirement benefits (401(k), pension plans) experience.
— Advanced Excel skills; detail-oriented; excellent analytical skills.
— Demonstrated project management experience – planning, leading, managing critical compensation and/or benefits projects (plan design changes, vendor management changes).
— Experience in an international corporation;  effectively managing across geographies, cultures and organizational boundaries.
— Knowledgeable on current legislation impacting pay/benefit programs.
— Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
 
 

Salary: $120,000.00 – $145,000.00
